Our Motto
Duty and Joy is the motto of our college. Duty is a term that conveys a sense of moral commitment or obligation to someone or something. Typically, “the demands of justice, honor, and reputation are deeply bound up” with duty. Don Bosco once exhorted his student Dominic Savio, “Do your duty as best as you can and you must be cheerful always.” Rabindranath Tagore wrote, “I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.” There is a marvelous medicinal power in joy. Most medicines are distasteful; but this, which is the best of all medicines, is sweet to the taste, and comforting to the heart.
