A program on Sensitization on Covid-19 Vaccination.

Don Bosco College , Kohima in collaboration with Kohima Village Student Union (KVSU) President Nigel Solo and members and Primary Health Center (PHC) Team, held a program on the Topic “Sensitization on Covid-19 Vaccination” Presented by Dr. Vezokholü Theyo (Chief Medical Officer) , Dr.Rupert Peseyie (District Immunization officer) , Sir Ethungbemo (Drug Inspector) and Dr.Kevihule (District Serviellance Officer). The program was held to spread the awareness to the unvaccinated .

The welcome speech was given by Ms.Sharon Khing Assistant Professor & NSS Coordinator DBCK. Thereafter, the CMO delivered a lecture among the students and gave a brief introduction about the Corona virus, How it should be taken care and why should we be vaccinated. They believe that it is their social responsibility for everyone to be vaccinated. According to the CMO, Kohima 87% of the population has been vaccinated.

Certain cautious and precautions were told to the students. The Religion assumptions and fake rumors were also discussed based on the vaccination. And also the affect and effect after the vaccination.

After which it was followed by the interaction with the students. Certain Questions were raised by the students Such as ” How long will the covid-19 vaccine last in us, If we are half vaccinated or fully vaccinated? ” They replied that with first dose of vaccine, one can get antibodies, so it is always advisable to take the second dose . Those who are fully vaccinated will get full protection after 2 to 3 weeks. Some student also cleared thier problem regarding their aadhar card as their card has been rejected, regarding to that, they answered if their aadhar card does not work they can bring other Id such as Pan Card, Residential Proof Certificate or Driving license. And so on, They made the students clear and aware of the Vaccination.

Thereafter the interaction, Vote of Thanks was given by Mr. Lokho Athony,      Assistant Professor &NSS Coordinator DBCK

Thus, the program was a success, and gave a clear understanding to all the students present.
